Tired of me Tuesday from the view of a Bed bug!
Posted by Mathew C. Walker in bed bugs, Christ, doctrine of christ, mean, parable, pure love of christ, religion, Tired of me Tuesday
I know it's tired of me tuesday, but I'm tired of them dang bed bugs so in other words I'm going to write about them today!! it's be Tired of Bed bugs eating at my arm legs and feet everynight tuesday!!! So since it's suppose to be tired of me tuesday I'll have a little fun with this and write as if "Mister Mean Bed Bug" is writing so here he goes!
"Hello for those of you who don't know me i'm Mister Mean Bed Bug, but all my friends call me M squared B squared! I roam around at night with all my buddies eating away Elder Walkers body. Oh his blood tastes so good. I guess in a round about way I'm sort of like the Devil eating away at someones life till they finally just have to do something to get rid of me. They can try to let me stay for a short time period... but ask Elder Walker, I don't stop biting, and neither do my friends! We will attack till we are forced to leave. So earlier today I guess we drew the last straw with our prey, out of nowhere we watched as he brought in some bags to suffocate us from food, and along with that smoke bombs, and bed bug spray... we had no hope. Elder Walker got all the right tools to obliterate me. I didn't know what to think I tried to run and hide but it was too late. All the tools were in the right place and now before I go on to my grave I'd like to add my dying words here on Elder Walker's blog.... Just like Elder Walker got the right tools to kill me, everyone must prepare themselves against the Devil, they can't just sit around and let his attacking continue. They must arm themselves with faith against that fiend. They must realize that they might get bit every once an a while, but the atonement cures that bite quickly and without itch, unlike any remedy Elder Walker might try with my bites ;). One thing I have seen Elder Walker do to soothe his pain is immerse himself in water, it's kind of convenient that Baptism.... the immersion in water can soothe all from the Devils Grasp. Things don't stop there. If you don't keep me in control I'll just come attacking again. You have to arm yourself with the knowledge to do what is right. In the Devils world he'll come back, but luckily you can receive the gift of the Holy Ghost and be ready for all he attacks you with........... Well these are my dying words and I hope they treat you well................ DEAD"
She's a yellow pair of running shoes
A holey pair of jeans
She looks great in cheap sunglasses
She looks great in anything
She's I want a piece of chocolate
Take me to a movie
She's I can't find a thing to wear
Now and then she's moody
She's a Saturn with a sunroof
With her brown hair a-blowing
She's a soft place to land
And a good feeling knowing
She's a warm conversation
That I wouldn't miss for nothing
She's a fighter when she's mad
And she's a lover when she's loving
And she's everything I ever wanted
And everything I need
I talk about her, I go on and on and on
'Cause she's everything to me
This is by far one of my most favorite Brad Paisley songs She's everything. I hope as you read this you felt an overwhelming desire to respect women and realize how important they are in all our lives, however that is not my main focus today for this blog. I want you to think about how amazing this world would be if they looked towards Christ the same way Brad Paisley views this women! Imagine for a second the joy that it would bring to litterally think of Christ in everything we do whether it's seeing a yellow pair of running shoes, or a holey pair of jeans, whether we are driving down the sreet with our sunroof down or on our knees praying. And now let's change up the chorus just a little...
Christ... He's everything I ever wanted
and everything i need
I talk about him I go on an don
cause He's everything to me!!!
Let's center our lives on Christ!!!
Mothers Day
Posted by Mathew C. Walker in doctrine of christ, gospel, Lord's will, love, Mothers, Mountain
Tomorrow is mothers day and seeing as I won't be online tomorrow I wanted ya'll to have a chance to read this blog for tomorrow. I realize I could postpone this post so it posts on Sunday but as I contimplated life liberty and this blog I realized that you need it now! Tomorrow... Mothers Day... I get the chance to talk in my new branch out here in Leitchfield KY... Renamed Middle of Nowhere KY! I'd like to share with ya'll a the gist of what I will speak on tomorrow... MOTHERS... okay that's the gist. Hope ya'll liked my blog...
Imagine if that really is all I typed. Oh... How boring would this post have been minus that really cool picture inspired after my mom... but really now let me share with ya'll a little of what I will talk about in my talk tomorrow! It's my hope that as you read this you too can learn what I have learned. First I will talk about the great Nature of the women as a mother, then I will talk about their great potential, before relating it to the males in the room. I will conclude by speaking about how we all can better our lives.
There is nothing more important than the mother in the house. Yes fathers are great, but nothing is more touchign than a hug from a mother, a lesson from that mother, or even punishment. Great things come from mothers. This is the case because of their natural ability to nurture. All females have this gift from birth! To nurture. God has created them this way to help us crazy males out and to raise kids so perfectly. They all have a devine nature to nurture and accomplish it so well!
Now every female has this devine nature to nurture, however not all live up to their potential. All females have great potential to do many great things. It's the women that keeps males alive. They are the back bone and the head in a relationship. Man without women is nothing. I wish more and more people would realize the great potential of a women. Maybe then men would respect them more! Let me allude back to a previous post... the mountain analogy... Each women's potential is at the top of the mountain, they must constantly climb up in order to truly reach that end goal, and once they reach a certain point of potential they quickly realize they have a bigger mountain to climb. Men and women are constantly climbing to higher potential!
Males don't feel left out here... You are important as well, but as I have mentioned we are nothing without the women! We must learn from them. We can try our hardest to do as they do be someone of virture and charm. The more and more we embrace our own femine traits the better off we will be in raising the best family possible. I'm not saying forget who you are and be a female, I'm saying learn to love as a mother loves. Learn to climb with them and to be there as support. To truly climb that mountain with respect!
Finally I've told you what to do, but how??? The answer might seem simple but that's because it is! GOD has set forth a plan that men can love and women can nurture, and together great things can be brought forth. In order to learn best for ourselves, we must 1. Learn faith. 2. Repent when we mess up. 3. be baptized and remember our promises to GOD when we are. 4. receive the gift of the Holy Ghost by the laying on of hands, and 5. NEVER GIVE UP keep doing as Christ would want you to do... keep climbing!
Let me tell you a little about our trip out her to Leitchfield KY. But first to give you an idea of where Leitchfield is here is a map.
And since this map does absolutely no help to pinpoint for you exactly where I am... or so it seems... I will try to describe towns you might of heard of. You ever heard of Louisville? Yeah I live no where near there. How bout Lexington, you know where that is? Well I live no where near there either. You've possibly heard of Paducah as well... Yeah no where near me. You might even think that I live near Hopkinsville considering that in the LDS church I am part of the Hopkinsville Stake... yeah... I'm still 2 hours away. Maybe I'll give you a hint to the where I'm at that might help you. The closest misionaries to me in my mission are in Bowling Green... but yeah that's an hour and a half a way still. So we can conclude that all the big cities are NO WHERE NEAR ME... so maybe you've heard of Elizabeth town... wait you haven't... well it's the closest big city to me and if you have heard of it then you've been to the middle of nowhere! I LOVE IT HERE!
Transfers are here so let me put my new favorite transfer song here..."You're gonna miss this' It's my belief it should be approved during transfer times to listen to, but it's not. Then again that doesn't mean you cant go listen to it right!
All the way back to serving with Elder Robison... I'm gonna miss this town and I'm most definitely going to want it back. Right now I'm wishing these day's hadn't gone by so fast.
As times continued in the Thompson Station area and I began training Elder Martin with Elder Dye I even further came to the realization that I'm going to miss this, I'm gonna want this back.
Here are some pictures from this last area!! Hope you enjoy!!!
I'm so gonna miss this... but they need me up in Leitchfield KY... that's where I'm going... Yeah I'm still trying to figure out where it is as well... but hey at least they have SKI soda!!!
